Work Boots, Flip Flops and Sneakers or Running Shoes
T-Shirts (5) Tank tops (3) (No non-Christian or offensive logos allowed) Collared shirt (2)
Shorts (3), Swim Suit (2), Jeans/pants (2) Work pants such as Dickies, Camoflage pants, loose and comfortable for work
Sweatshirts/ Hoodies (2)
Underwear (9) Black Socks (We have red dirt)
Toiletries: Including deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, shave items, hair brush, ect.

There is very little space to store items. Do not bring anything valuable. We do not have locks on the doors.

If contact lens are worn, please bring extras and a copy of the current prescription. Also, lens cleaning solution.  

Mosquito netting is necessary to enclose the bunk bed as mosquitos and spiders are common on the island. If you cannot find one, please bring $10 cash in an envelope marked "mosquito netting" to purchase one.

Headlamp and extra batteries are necessary as this allows our men to be hands-free.  This is really necessary as it is very dark at night at the camp.  There is limited electricity as we are on solar.

All items will be inspected upon intake at U-Turn for Christ Kauai.

IMPORTANT:  Please leave cell phones at home. You will not be allowed a smart cell phone in 2nd Phase. Only non-internet enabled flip phones, such as available at Walmart will be allowed.  Men will be allowed one phone call home on each holiday.  No other phone calls during the 1st Phase. No other reading materials will be allowed during the first 60 days except the Bible. Please leave all materials at home.

Please TEXT a picture of enrollee after acceptance to Intake Coordinator's Cell at 951-204-2165 so we can reference it when picking attendee up at the airport

Airport code for Lihue, Kauai is LIH.  

When arriving at the Lihue, HI Airport, after getting your bags at baggage claim, sit on the bench out front of baggage claim.  We will pick you up within the hour.  We will then verify with your family that you have arrived safely. 

No credit or debit cards are allowed, except a pre-paid visa with $50 on it for food on the flight over and any necessities after arriving.  Airlines no longer accept cash on the flight for food.  Only a Government Approved ID and Insurance Card are allowed.  

Please email a copy of medical and/or dental insurance card to us before arrival, and make sure attendee brings card with him.
